Dr Mugilan Narayanasamy

Dr Mugilan Narayanasamy has been working as a Postdoctoral Researcher from Department of Chemical Sciences at University of Limerick in Ireland since 20th May 2024. Previously for the past two years he worked as BK21 Four Postdoctoral Researcher at Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea where he established HF etching technology in his lab and synthesized various types of MXenes, including (Mo2Ti2C3Tx, Mo2CTx, Ti3C2Tx, Mo2TiC2Tx, V2CTx, Nb2CTx, etc) synthesized via both HF and mild etching method for Lithium metal anodes. He earned his Ph.D. degree from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, China (2018-2021) where he also worked on MXenes such as Ti3C2Tx, V2CTx, using similar etching techniques and utilized them as potential cathodes for Zinc ion batteries. Presently his research in UL focused on the development and optimization of novel MXenes based materials for energy storage applications, particularly focusing on Bimetallic MXene anodes for Lithium-sulfur Battery and lithium metal batteries
